×CONSIDERATIONS FOR LANDSCAPE TRAILERS
As your company grows, you’ll acquire more tools and more materials to assist in your productivity, but that means you’ll outgrow truck beds and general-purpose trailers.
Landscaping is often a time-based business, as many clients will expect that you arrive, complete your work and leave within a certain timeframe. You’ll find that loading and unloading your items can take up huge chunks of time, which can put a serious damper on your schedule and reflect poorly on your abilities, despite what the results might say to the contrary.
Many of our trailers feature integrated tool boxes and equipment racks, which improve organization and allow you to maximize available space, all while keeping your investments secure. All options feature tailgate ramps for convenient loading and unloading.
All of our options feature bumperpull couplings, making it them more accessible for various vehicles.
LANDSCAPE TRAILER SPECIFICATIONS
While most of our models follow a general template, you can choose between differences in other crucial features to fit your specific needs:
- Axles: The number and format of axles will play a significant role in determining your trailer’s capacity. Single-axle trailers are better suited for light equipment and material hauling. Think push lawnmowers, weed whackers, bags of mulch, etc. If you have to tackle more strenuous demands, like ride mowers and commercial leaf vacuums, tandem axles will benefit you better. Tandem axles distribute the weight more evenly throughout the trailer, reducing stress.
- Sizes: You should make a note of not just your inventory’s overall weight, but also the amount of space it takes up. Landscape trailers are usually 83 inches wide, but you can choose from various lengths to fit more cumbersome, or larger amounts of, equipment. Popular measurements include 12, 14 and 16 feet.
- GVWR: While axles significantly factor into weight capacity, you also need to look at a trailer’s gross vehicle weight rating, which determines the maximum mass a trailer can endure. Smaller models usually cap out at about 3,000 pounds, but you can invest in heavy-duty trailers that hold up to 14,000 pounds.
